A forum for leaders at the forefront of innovation in the arts

In the midst of rapid digital transformation, artists and arts organizations are harnessing technology to expand horizons, foster connections, and redefine boundaries. Catalyst 2023 — the inaugural convening hosted at New World Symphony in Miami — brought together more than 300 international leaders at the forefront of creative technology to explore how emerging tools such as AI, machine learning, immersive media, digital fabrication, and decentralized systems are reshaping culture, storytelling, and public life. Through conversations centered on sustainability, ethics, and experimentation, participants examined the implications of digital transformation in the arts and identified new opportunities to enhance the creation, application, and dissemination of artistic work.

Across two days of talks, workshops, presentations, interactive demonstrations, and private gatherings, Catalyst highlighted innovations within the art-and-tech ecosystem and surfaced the challenges and opportunities facing the field. The program featured pioneering artists, researchers, cultural institutions, and technologists who shared new models for creation, distribution, accessibility, and equity in a rapidly shifting digital landscape. A curated, interactive exhibition and performances enhanced the thought provoking plenary sessions.

I oversaw all aspects of the forum from concept and program development to branding and speaker relations to experience, exhibition and performance design.
